The story of the Easy Cake Roller®

Like many people around Thanksgiving, I start making pumpkin rolls. I get so much joy out of giving them to my friends and family. My kitchen becomes an assembly line of cake batter, parchment lined pans, creamy filling, and a pile of crusty towels. My husband watches, helps out on occasion, and then is slightly irritated by the mess. He asked me why I roll the cakes up in towels. I explained that rolling them up helps them cool in the proper shape. He understood that part but wanted to know why I use towels instead of something else. And with that, our idea was born.

We searched far and wide and there was nothing on the market that could be used for a towel replacement. Being the go getter that my husband is, he was not satisfied with continuing to use the towels to roll up the cakes. He set out on a mission to find the perfect material to replace the towel. We tested and retested. We found so many more roll cake recipes (you can only eat so much pumpkin) and we shared our test cakes with friends.

Our original purpose was simply a towel replacement. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find the stability that the Easy Cake Roller® provided as well as how it helps the cake retain moisture. The Easy Cake Roller® turned out to be so much more than a roll cake towel replacement that we knew we had to share it with fellow roll cake and jelly roll bakers. It is definitely a must have roll cake baking accessory. So when you are asked, is there a trick to rolling up roll cakes or what can I roll my roll cake up in besides a towel, you can say, "of course, you must use the Easy Cake Roller®",

Success! Message received.
